This seminar introduces the learner to the basic theoretical foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture and its application and practice to common community diseases.
It includes the identification and location of acupuncture points, basic needling techniques, moxibustion, and cupping application for common pain conditions such as:
- acute bronchitis
- menstrual problems
- nausea and vomiting due to pregnancy, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and post-surgery
The seminar also briefly discusses the acupuncture ethics and standards of practice.
The seminar incorporates supervised clinical practice at the INAM Integrated Health Services Clinic
A Certificate of Attendance shall be given to those who complete the seminar.
The seminar also serves as an orientation to formal courses offered by INAM Philippines as training requisites to accreditation as certified acupuncturists by PITAHC of the Department of Health.
