The introductory seminar introduces the learner to the basic theoretical foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture and its application and practice to pain management.
It includes the identification and location of acupuncture points, basic needling techniques, moxibustion and cupping application for common pain conditions such as headache, arthritis, low back pain, dysmenorrhea, post-surgical and post-dental surgery pain and pain conditions in general. It also briefly discusses the acupuncture ethics and standards of practice.
The seminar incorporates supervised clinical practice at the INAM Integrated Health Services Clinic.
A Certificate of Attendance shall be given to those who complete the seminar.
The seminar also serves as an orientation to formal courses offered by INAM Philippines as training requisites to accreditation as certified acupuncturists by PITAHC of the Department of Health.
All payments are considered as training donations to INAM for its community projects.
